Portraits

Benjamin Hanoune (PhD Molecular Physics 1994, Habilitation in Physical Chemistry and Atmospheric Sciences 2012) entered PC2A laboratory as a CNRS researcher in 1998, after two postdoctoral positions, in Nobeyama Radio Observatory (Japan) and at the University of Kansas.

His scientific interests shifted from the spectroscopy of molecules in the interstellar medium and planetary atmospheres to atmospheric chemistry (reactivity and pollutant monitoring) and indoor air chemistry.

He initiated the APOLLINE network (Air Pollution and Individual Exposure) of the University of Lille, exploring the use of miniature pollutant sensors for the determination of the drivers of IAQ, for dynamic 3D mapping of outdoor pollution, and for the evaluation of personal exposure.

He is also involved in science public outreach.

He is a lecturer in atmospheric pollution in PC2A Laboratory. He is the president of Haut de France regional committee of APPA.

denis charpin

Graduated specialist in pneumology, allergogy, and public health epidemiology, Denis CHARPIN is a medical professor in Aix Marseille University, consultant in pneumology unity of Timone hospitals (CHU Marseilles).
His searches concern the atmosphéric pollution, exterior and interior, Pollens and pollinosis with 270 publications.
He is the president of APPA too, member of the National medical academy, vice president of bouche du Rhone committee against respiratory diseases, and of environment and health section of superior committee of national metrology.
Member of national conseil of air and AASQA Air parif and Air Pacca.

Andrzej Jagusiewicz master in thermo-appliances at Technology University in Warsaw and PhD on environmental sciences at Technology University in Wroclaw  served for many years as international civil servant at UN/ECE in Geneva and was the Chief Inspector of Environmental Protection in Poland. He devoted entirely his professional life to combat air pollution at industries, scientific institute, public administration and NGOs. His vital interest lies also with energy efficiency clean, technology and circular economy in order to build synergy and gain co-benefits.
He also supports unconditionally *ONE ATMOSPHERE* approach combining climate policy and cleaning the air from toxic pollutants.
Andzej is today thr president of EFCA, member of the scientific committee of the French magazine “Pollution atmosphérique” as well as Polish “aura” and member of the Polish chamber ” sustainable development “, where he acts with programme and science council.
Finally, he is the author of numerous articles, publications and interviews (the last admin@ep-scotland.org.uk) and two books.
